I had no idea. I always imagined they slept on little velvet cushions (silly childhood Arabian Nights memory.) How fortunate you were to get those pics!

I did not know that. I love that they do though. It was hard for me to imagine turkeys doing the same until earlier this year when I got to see 10-15 of them in one tree.
I especially love the sunset pic of him pruning himself. Such pretty colors.

It is really surprising and delightful to see one roosted high up in a tree. PS: this is dawn light!
